Actively identifies and fixes weaknesses in software, process or system before an attacker can take advantage and exploit it to gain unauthorised access to a system

Vulnerability management is the process of identifying assets, prioritising and mitigating vulnerabilities in your website, web applications and internal infrastructure. By proactively identifying and fixing vulnerabilities, you can reduce the risk of Cyber Attacks and protect your organisation from potential security breaches. Vulnerability management involves asset discovery, prioritisation, vulnerability reporting, and remediation.

Our vulnerability management service includes the following processes:

  • Vulnerability scanning: We use advanced tools and techniques to scan your external IP addresses, website and infrastructure to identify any vulnerabilities that may exist. This included both known vulnerabilities as well as emerging threats.
  • Vulnerability assessment: After the scan is completed we assess the identified vulnerabilities to determine their severity and potential impact on your systems. This helps us to prioritise which vulnerabilities should be addressed first.
  • Vulnerability remediation: We work with you to develop a plan to fix the identified vulnerabilities in a timely manner. This may include patches, updates or other measurements to secure your systems.
  • Continuous monitoring: We continuously monitor your website for any new vulnerabilities and provide ongoing support to ensure that your website stays secure.

By partnering with us for your vulnerability management needs, you can trust your website is secure and protected against potential cyber threats.

Vulnerability management is the process of identifying, prioritising and mitigating vulnerabilities in your websites/external assets and infrastructure. Vulnerability management is a process of proactively identifying and fixing vulnerabilities so you can reduce the risk of cyber-attacks and protect your organisation from potential security breaches.

Vulnerability management is important because vulnerabilities can be exploited by cybercriminals to gain access to your website and potentially steal sensitive data or disrupt your operations. By regularly identifying and fixing vulnerabilities you can prevent such attacks and protect your website and your users.

A vulnerability management service typically includes vulnerability scanning, vulnerability assessment, vulnerability remediation, and continuous monitoring. Vulnerability scanning involves using tools and techniques to identify vulnerabilities in your website and infrastructure.  Vulnerability assessment involves determining the severity and potential impact of the identified vulnerabilities. Vulnerability remediation involves developing and implementing a plan to fix the vulnerabilities. Continuous monitoring involves ongoing monitoring of your website and infrastructure for new vulnerabilities and providing ongoing support to ensure that it stays secure.

Vulnerability management should be performed on a regular basis, as new vulnerabilities can be discovered at any time. It is generally recommended to conduct vulnerability scans at least monthly with more frequent scans for websites that are at higher risk of a cyber attack or that handle sensitive data.

While it is possible to do a vulnerability scan yourself, it can be a time-consuming and technical process. Partnering with our professional vulnerability management service can save you time and ensure that the process is done correctly. Additionally, a professional service will have access to advance tools and expertise that can identify a wider range of vulnerabilities.
